Hello! My name is Amy! I am married to my wonderful husband who works at Target! How awesome is that!?! I have three very beautiful girls. Savannah is my oldest and my artistic one. Lacie is in the middle and is my wild child with the biggest heart. Emma is our littlest one who acts and thinks like an adult. I work full time managing a team of escalated help desk associates at a call center. I'm completely addicted to Iced Chai Lattes and Starbucks. I love getting out and about as much as our hectic schedule allows - either exploring new places or revisiting our tried and true favorites!
Photo Credit :: CJS PhotographyMy name is Ashlee, and I live in Springboro, OH! I have been a childcare provider for the last 12 years and have slowly started to morph into the marketing and dental field! My wife and I moved to Dayton 8 years ago and have loved it! We are currently on the journey to being Mamas; just not sure how it will be yet!Brittany Richards is a boy mom, wife, animal mom, and plant mom. Big love for the city of Dayton and taking my kids to explore our town. I run on caffeine, and chaos. Photo Credit :: Brittany RichardsBrittney Paxton is passionate about education, advocacy, and empowerment. She aspires to significantly contribute to the enrichment of our communities by fostering acceptance and unity. Brittney hosts an affinity for art, music, trivia, public libraries, nature, and stand-up comedy. She is a member of the Dayton community with her husband, Alexander and son, Bear Paxton (2 years old). We love museums, parks, the car wash, festivals, and identifying industrial grade vehicles while in traffic. The current favorite is the Piqua, blue cement mixer, joyfully identified by Bear as, "The Mixiner". Cement mixers and Dayton bring our family so much joy!Education:Ed.S. Together we have 6 kids, Joe, and his wife Allison, Austin, and his wife Hannah,, Sydney, Andrew, Max, and Eli. Did I mention we are a little nuts starting over with this parenting thing when we are 45+???? My husband and I are both ministers in the local church. We were both married before and brought our families together in 2010. After a few years of marriage, we felt God's leading for us to adopt. We added Max to our family in 2014 and Eli joined us in 2017, our quiver is officially full! Blending our family has been an adventure! Add some ex-spouses and two birth mommas and we have ourselves a crazy crew! Coffee is my love language, I just finished binge-watching Parks and Recreation and love me a Ron Swanson. The beach is my happy place and I long to have my toes in the sand.
Photo Credit :: Anna Marilyn PhotosStaff Writer | Senior ContributorWilmingtonA dog mom and a boy mom, Courtney loves to write and share her stories with other moms! Photo Credit :: Anna Marilyn PhotosI was born in New York and lived in several states before settling down in my favorite State of all time – Ohio! I have an interracial family that consists of my amazing and talented husband (Derek) and our beautiful, silly daughter (Adilyn {2009}). I work full-time in human resources in addition to owning the Cincinnati, Dayton, & Louisville Mom Collectives, write and illustrate children’s books, love to volunteer, and am a registered and certified nutritional consultant (RNC/CNC). I still do my best to be the best mom and wife I can be! I love art museums, the theatre, reading, and parks. I’m a foodie and always love trying new places to eat. I hope other moms find either enlightenment or humor from my posts! Photo Credit :: CJS PhotographyHi, mamas! I’m Emily, born and raised in Springfield, Ohio, and now raising my family in the Champion City. I’m married to my college sweetheart (he’s from Springfield, too, and we knew each other in high school, but we didn’t make it Facebook official until our freshman year at Ohio State). We’re proud parents of a precious yet oh-so-rotten baby boy, MJ (b. November 2016), and a fur baby named Bentley. Needless to say, I am the queen of our household! I work full-time as a PR pro for a marketing-communication agency and am always striving to find the perfect work-life balance. I’m a Joanna Gaines wannabe, lover of all things rose gold and a self-diagnosed Target addict… I mean c’mon, what mama isn’t?!People call me “mom”, “Hannah”, “teacher”, and “honey”. Of these, my most treasured is “mom”. I am a foster parent, wife, teacher, and English major. I’m a reader, a writer, a photographer, and a person who thrives in chaos. I’m almost old enough to rent a car. Writing is the most effective way for me to realize which of my thoughts is worth dictating and which should be quickly thrown into the wastebasket, both in computer form and in my mind. Hopefully, most of what makes it onto here was worth it!The Finance Doctor is a local mom and finance executive at WPAFB. She has 4 kids ranging from 2 to 22 and is the current reigning Mrs. Ohio International. She focuses on topics related to work/life, balance, financial peace, marriage, and blended families.A Dayton native, I live with my partner and our three children. One has a color name, the middle a place, and the last sounded good with the other two (third child problems). I am passionate about conservation and recycling (it’s one of my love languages). Patterns and colors speak to me as a creative but I wish I made more time to express it (see aforementioned children). As a family, we love board and card games with an extensive collection and our own game table. Being a SAHM I enjoy finding local activities and grocery shopping (mini momcation if I grocery shop by self).Hello! I'm Katie, mom of two energetic boys (5 & 8), a wife, and elementary school teacher. When I'm not teaching, I'm probably at a soccer field, baseball field, or driving to one of them! I love to run in my free time - any distances from 5ks to marathons, read everything I can get my hands on, and try out new recipes on willing friends and family. Photo Credit :: CJS PhotographyKristen Hammaker is a Dayton native who recently moved back to the best city in the world. As a Daytonian, of course her writing inspiration is Erma Bombeck. She has two young children and works as a school counselor and Orton-Gillingham Practitioner. Since she has a son and a daughter, she understands how each kid is different and you can't over-generalize anything about gender differences in children. Her current Mom Fantasy is dreaming about a day when she won't have to constantly scrape melted fruit snacks off of all surfaces of her car. Photo Credit :: CJS PhotographyLeah Ali-Johnson is a lover and native of Dayton, OH. She is a wife and mama of two vibrant kids. Leah has always been inspired by the strength women possess. She has made it her mission to empower them any way she can through her company, Flourish by Design. Leah is invested in listening to your stories, helping to guide, share advice, and cheer you on as you travel this journey of womanhood and motherhood combined! In her spare time, Leah enjoys spending time with her family, writing poetry, traveling, online shopping, zoning out to music, and patio dining at various local restaurants — especially Mexican restaurants with a lime margarita in hand! Photo Credit :: CJS PhotographyHi Everyone. I’m Lisa. I am a wife to an amazing husband and mama to Ella (almost 9), Liam (5), Aiden (5) and Adeline (1) My family and I love exploring the local area, especially since neither my husband or I grew up here. We came for college (GO WRIGHT STATE) and never left! After working as a caseworker for 12 years, I now work full time as an Adoption Recruiter (a new position that I started before I had Adeline.) My spare moments (not that I have many) are spent taking photos, reading, or spending time with my twin mama friends! Photo courtesy of Blink of an Eye Photography.I grew up in Indiana on a small farm raising cows and pigs, but I moved to Dayton, Ohio to marry my husband after dating long distance. My husband is a computer programmer, and I work part time at a library. We have a toddler daughter who keeps us on our toes! I love exploring Dayton with her and coming up with fun activities to help encourage her imagination and curiosity. I am addicted to chocolate, Starbucks, and Amazon. Besides spending time with my daughter, I love to read, cook/bake, and watch reality TV and crime shows.
Photo Credit :: CJS PhotographyI’m an Ohio native but new to Dayton. I have two girls, one cat, and a lot of things on my mind. Q2111111111111111 (that was our cat, Sprout; she’s got a lot on her mind, too). We moved to Dayton for my husband's work and to get some time raising our kids in the city. As a family, we like to explore new parks and playgrounds, snuggle on the couch watching Disney movies, and play board games with our friends. I enjoy a good glass of red wine, volunteering with summer camps, rereading Harry Potter, and forever finding new ways to be busy.Raised in Louisville, KY, Nina is a recovered workaholic and stay-at-home Mom. I love my work as an eye surgeon, and I love my husband who works as a dentist and happens to be from South Korea! My interests include music, gardening, biking, hiking, and of course, becoming the best mom I can be! My husband and I attend a local church and hope to share our passion for missions in the future with our daughter.Sarah lives at home in Kettering with her daughter Gwyn, 3.5 (as of 2024), and husband, Drew. She works full-time in merchandising and sales for a design firm and loves to fix-up the home they bought a year ago and do DIY crafts. They have 2 cats, Ruby and Merlin, who also keep things interesting. Photo Credit :: Sarah DenardoWhile my husband and I grew up in California, we’re raising our children in the Dayton area. After multiple miscarriages and a stillbirth, I’m the mother of five children. Alongside my role as a mom, I’m the Founder/ Executive Director of Everybody's Doggy, a local nonprofit that aims to strengthen the bond between people and pets. With over 15 years of experience as a dog trainer and doula, I’ve supported hundreds of families as they grow, either by adding a baby or a dog into their home. I find joy in providing practical support to parents all across our community. Photo Credit :: Suzy FrigoTiffany Rosengarten is a homeschool mom of two who has lived in Dayton, Ohio on and off since preschool. With a dad in the military, she traveled to many places, but somehow always ended up back at Dayton, Ohio and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. When her dad retired here, she graduated from Fairborn High School and then went on to get both her Bachelor and Masters of Education from Wright State University. After a few years teaching for the district where she graduated as well as Sinclair and Wright State, she decided to teach the future leaders living in her very own home. She now splits her time between homeschooling, driving kids to activities such as swim, dance, and other training, and volunteering at 4 Paws for Ability in Xenia, Ohio. She currently is fostering Service Dogs in Training numbers four and five. Other interests she has include healthy living, some sewing/crafting, and reading a good book now and then when there is ever a few minutes to spare. Between her travels, education and homeschooling, she has been able to find out that Dayton is a pretty awesome place to live with hidden gems in science, history, art, theater, sports, and everything in between.
