We recommend checking with each venue before heading out, just in case one of the splash pads or pools is not open when you’re hoping to go!
Splash Playgrounds are the perfect balance when the kids (ahem, you) want to cool off on a hot summer day but don’t have time to commit to a full pool day! They create the perfect atmosphere for a play date and offer options for kiddos of all ages.
Here are a few splash playground suggestions to consider when you need to cool off this summer!
- Check in with the Splash Playground before leaving the house – confirm hours, ages, price, and any details specific to the day you plan to visit (special events, etc.)
- Apply sunscreen at home!
- Use the restroom before leaving the house and/or as soon as you arrive.
- Things to bring: sunscreen, water shoes (some splash pads do not allow them, but they can help prevent slipping), healthy snacks and drinks, plastic bags for wet diapers and swimsuits
