Planning for Spring Break {Dayton Edition}

0

With 2024 just starting, it is crazy to think that Spring Break is right around the corner. When I think of Spring Break, my mental image is the warm weather, feet in the sand, and listening to the ocean. While we all love to travel, sometimes it may not be feasible. Do not let that stop you from thinking that you can’t do anything with your kids during the break!

There are several things in and around the Dayton area where you can enjoy family-friendly activities during spring break and you do not even have to leave the state!

Boonshoft Museum of Discovery

Starting here in Dayton, what could be easier? Boonshoft offers so much to do and it is all interactive. They have everything from live animals to dinosaur bones. Kids get to touch, play, and learn. They even have a café inside where you can stop to refuel.

Great Wolf Lodge

Travel just south of Dayton to Mason and enjoy some of the perks of the southern climates. While the weather outside may not be warm, inside you can enjoy the adventure of the waterpark. They have options to stay for the night, or you can just simply grab a day pass. And parents, they even offer a bar area (I mean we also must have some fun, right?).

Scene75

Another great Dayton entertainment for children and adults! This place literally has it all – food, drinks, games, a roller coaster, and even laser tag. It has 160,000 square feet of indoor attractions. The best part about this place is I think a child of any age can find something enjoyable.

Air Force Museum

This is another great place that combines learning/entertainment, and it is free, yes free! Check out all the planes, engines, and uniforms.

Young’s Dairy

This is a must! Who doesn’t love ice cream and animals? On the farm, you can feed the goats and pet pigs; they even have mini golf. While you are there, you can even take the short venture over to Yellow Springs and partake in a hike or grab something at one of the many local eateries.
