We have decided that Fall really should be at least a month longer than it is. There is SO much to do (like Fall Festivals!), and it’s such a fun time of year. This list is dedicated to those fabulous local Fall Festivals and events. We will fully admit that there is a fuzzy pumpkin covered line between what qualifies as a “patch” and what qualifies as a Fall Festival, but we do feel there is enough distinction for them to have their own space… thus, here we are. Without further ado… Your Guide to Local Fall Family Fun!
Lucas Brothers Fall Fest @ Candlebrook Farms
They’re back for the 8th year! Please join us for a family-friendly fun fall festival, which includes a hayride, Corn Mazes, Pumpkins, kid’s activities, fall shop, and so much more!
They also host private parties, field trips, after hour events, and birthday parties.
Wristband Admission is $14 per person. Kids 4 & under are free with a paying adult. Admission gets you all the fun farm activities. New in 2024, they are offering a $5 admission fee for anyone who wants to come enjoy the festival but not do the corn maze or hayride. They’re open Fridays 5-9pm and Saturdays & Sundays 11am – 5pm. Check out their Fall Fest Fridays on their website! You won’t want to miss them!
Great Scarecrow Festival at Grandma's Gardens
Join the Great Scarecrow Festival at Grandma’s Gardens as we usher in the arrival of all things Fall! Enjoy a coffee and meander through the gardens. Snack on festive treats like gourmet candy apples and kettle corn. Shop vendors, fresh pumpkins, and Fall decor. And, take a train ride on the newly remodeled railroad!
The centerpiece of the event will be a scarecrow contest, which groups are free to enter ahead of time to compete for prizes up to $300! Scarecrow frames are available now at the garden center, but spaces are limited – so sign up today!
U-Pick Apple Orchards
Our team members are BIG fans of spending our weekends outdoors. It’s a little early for pumpkin patches, so why not go pick some apples instead?! There are so many yummy recipes you can make with the apples you pick, too! It’s the perfect weekend activity for everyone! So, grab your flannels and get pickin’!
Pumpkin Patches
We are so fortunate to have so many local farms offering family fun year-round – but especially in the Fall. Make sure you set aside some time this season to support our local farmers by participating in the festivities! Here are our top recommended pumpkin patches around the Greater Dayton area.
