Dayton Mom Collective

I grew up in Centerville,  but I now live in Wilmington with my husband Tony. Together we have 6 kids, Joe, and his wife Allison, Austin, and his wife Hannah,, Sydney, Andrew, Max, and Eli. Did I mention we are a little nuts starting over with this parenting thing when we are 45+???? My husband and I are both ministers in the local church. We were both married before and brought our families together in 2010. After a few years of marriage, we felt God's leading for us to adopt. We added Max to our family in 2014 and Eli joined us in 2017, our quiver is officially full! Blending our family has been an adventure! Add some ex-spouses and two birth mommas and we have ourselves a crazy crew! Coffee is my love language, I just finished binge-watching Parks and Recreation and love me a Ron Swanson. The beach is my happy place and I long to have my toes in the sand.

I was born in New York and lived in several states before settling down in my favorite State of all time – Ohio! I have an interracial family that consists of my amazing and talented husband (Derek) and our beautiful, silly daughter (Adilyn {2009}). I work full-time in human resources in addition to owning the Cincinnati, Dayton, & Louisville Mom Collectives, write and illustrate children’s books, love to volunteer, and am a registered and certified nutritional consultant (RNC/CNC). I still do my best to be the best mom and wife I can be! I love art museums, the theatre, reading, and parks. I’m a foodie and always love trying new places to eat. Hi, mamas! I’m Emily, born and raised in Springfield, Ohio, and now raising my family in the Champion City. I’m married to my college sweetheart (he’s from Springfield, too, and we knew each other in high school, but we didn’t make it Facebook official until our freshman year at Ohio State). We’re proud parents of a precious yet oh-so-rotten baby boy, MJ (b. November 2016), and a fur baby named Bentley. Needless to say, I am the queen of our household! I work full-time as a PR pro for a marketing-communication agency and am always striving to find the perfect work-life balance. I’m a Joanna Gaines wannabe, lover of all things rose gold and a self-diagnosed Target addict… I mean c’mon, what mama isn’t?!

Living the crazy #momlife with two school-aged kiddos. You can mostly find me with coffee in one hand and a laptop in the other, all while trying to teach both kids! But, we are moms, right? Multitasking is the name of the game. I'm excited to share this experience with you all!

I live in Washington TWP with my husband, Jordan, our daughters Samantha (2017) and Sydney (2022) and our German Shepherd, Leia. My family is originally from the Dayton area although my dad’s job with the Air Force took us all over the country (even overseas for a bit). I have a background in Sales and Marketing and am thrilled to be part of the DMC team! Leah Ali-Johnson is a lover and native of Dayton, OH. She is a wife and mama of two vibrant kids. Leah has always been inspired by the strength women possess. She has made it her mission to empower them any way she can through her company, Flourish by Design. Leah is invested in listening to your stories, helping to guide, share advice, and cheer you on as you travel this journey of womanhood and motherhood combined! In her spare time, Leah enjoys spending time with her family, writing poetry, traveling, online shopping, zoning out to music, and patio dining at various local restaurants — especially Mexican restaurants with a lime margarita in hand!
