Summer Mocktails {My Three Go-To Recipes}

0

I love the routine of pouring myself a drink at the end of the day. Maybe it’s at dinner or after the girls go to bed. My go-to is a glass of wine. Red wine, please!

Recently, I’ve been cutting back on alcohol (no, this is not a pregnancy announcement), but I still wanted the evening drink routine. Mocktails have been a fun and enjoyable way to replace my glass of wine.

Here are a few of my favorite mocktail recipes:

Sparkling Lemonade

Frozen fruit
Seltzer water (flavored or not)
Lemonade
Fresh mint, if desired

Choose your glass and fill it halfway with your frozen fruit of choice (I like a berry mix). Pour half lemonade and half seltzer. Garnish with mint. If you omit the seltzer, you can make yourself something of a lemonade slush (the fruit will lightly freeze the lemonade making it a slushy consistency).

Moscow Mule Without the Kick

Ginger beer
Crushed ice
Lime juice
Lime wedge
Seltzer water/club soda

Choose your glass. Fill it halfway with crushed ice, 1 cup of ginger beer, and 1/3 of seltzer or club soda. Either juice a whole lime or add in at least 3 tablespoons of lime juice until it’s at your desired sour level. Stir it up! Garnish with a few lime wedges.

Mojito Mocktail

1 lime to juice
Lime wedges
At least 10 mint leaves
Sparkling water/club soda
Ice
1 tablespoon agave syrup

Grab your cup and juice your lime and agave syrup. Stir. Fill your cup about 1/2 way with your sparking water choice and ice. Put in your mint and stir again. Add your lime wedges to garnish.

There are endless options! I found some sparking juice at the store and threw in some watermelon and ice and it was a great drink to end the day.
