As a mom, you never know what you’re going to find in the washing machine as you wash load after load after load of laundry. If I had a nickel for every time I found something in the washer that didn’t belong in the washer, I could pay someone to do the laundry for me!
Here’s a list of things I’ve found in the washing machine while doing laundry:
- Fruit snacks (they can get really melty and ruin all your stuff)
- Stickers
- Pop It Fidget
- Tissues
- An entire bag of Tide pods (bag included)
- The plastic thing that is stuck in your turkey and pops up when the turkey is cooked
- Diapers (super weird having a gazillion gel beads in there)
- Keychains
- Jewelry (like my future ex-husband’s wedding band that he didn’t wear because he was cheating)
- Money (talk about “money laundering,” but it doesn’t hold up super well in the washer, surprisingly)
- Dryer lint
- An entire box of dryer sheets (evidently my clothes had no static but they smelled like the entire laundry aisle at Target)
- The entire box of fabric softener (but luckily it was properly closed)
- Plastic bags
- Hairpins
- Bath toys
- Pacifiers
- Those boob pads that line the inside of your nursing bra (that always come out and stick together on one side, so you have a uni-boob and no pad on the other side)
- Crayons
- Markers
- Candy and candy wrappers
- Plastic food toy
- Play-Doh
- Baby toothbrushes
- Breast pump parts
What else can you add to this list? Happy laundry day, mamas!
