The most wonderful time of the year has finally arrived! Christmas is just around the corner, and that means there are many wonderful activities to do in and around the Dayton area. There is something on the list that everyone in your family is sure to enjoy.

Rike’s Holiday Windows

An ongoing tradition in Dayton that takes place Nov. 22-Dec. 29 at the Schuster Center Wintergarden. You can drop by Monday-Friday 6:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sundays 8 a.m.-3 p.m. This is a free event for all to enjoy.

Carillon Christmas

This event takes place at Carillon Park on their beautiful 65-acre property. They have the Carillon tree all lit up, a letterpress where you can make your own Christmas cards, puppet shows, bakery, train displays, several thousand lights all around the property, and, of course, Santa will be there! The event runs Nov.26-Dec. 30.

Clifton Mill

This is legendary around here! It has been nominated for one of the USA TODAY’S 10 Best Readers’ Choice Travel Awards. With over 4 million (yes, you read that right) lights, you do not want to miss out on this grandiose display. You will feel like you are in a Christmas wonderland while walking around the property. They have a Santa Claus museum, synchronized light show, toy collection, and, of course, food and Santa. They open on Nov. 29 and run through Christmas.

PNC Festival of Lights (Cincinnati Zoo Lights)

Who doesn’t love the combination of Christmas lights and animals? They have over 4 million LED lights covering the zoo, Santa and Mrs.Claus, over 50 large animal lanterns, a train, s’more roasting station, meet a creature, and you will get to see the ones that are indoors in heated areas. The even runs from Nov. 21,2024-Jan. 5, 2025.
